Who is Georgios?
I am a Cyprus born photographer and visual artist whose practice explores photography as a space for self-expression, experimentation, and imagination. I studied Photography and Arts at the University of South Wales and then completed an MA in Fashion Photography at the University of the Arts London. My background in both fine art and fashion photography informs a visual approach that moves between constructed imagery, surrealism, and expressive portraiture.
My work is driven by an interest in transforming familiar subjects and emotions into images that feel slightly detached from reality. Through the combination of composition, colour, form, and unconventional visual elements, I try to create photographs that exist somewhere between the real and the imagined. Rather than following a fixed visual language, my practice evolves through experimentation, using photography as a way to explore ideas, moods, and personal perspectives.
The images I create often place emphasis on atmosphere and visual tension, creating scenes that invite interpretation while retaining a strong sense of individuality. Balancing personal artistic exploration with fashion imagery, I approach each project as an opportunity to build a distinct visual world, one where reality can be altered, reconstructed, and experienced differently through the camera.
