Miss Marble
Exploring Marbling Arts
Who is miss marble?
Christina is based in Cyprus and works under the name Miss Marble. Her practice explores marbling through ebru and suminagashi, experimenting with centuries-old techniques.
Using water, pigments, sumi ink, acrylics, and traditional marbling tools, she creates patterns shaped by movement and chance, which are then transferred onto paper and other surfaces. Her process is hands-on and intuitive, allowing the materials to guide the outcome. Each piece is unique and cannot be repeated, capturing a specific moment on the water.
Alongside her personal work, Miss Marble creates marbled pieces for objects, printed materials, and small collections, exploring how the technique can exist beyond paper.
She focuses on process, color, and making, letting each piece come out of the moment it is created.
