Twenty Three
Street Artist
Who is Twenty Three?
Twenty Three is an international street artist born and based in Cyprus, with a multidisciplinary practice spanning public walls, installations, printmaking, and participatory projects. Active in the streets since 2012, his work began through stencil art and later expanded into interactive installations and experimentation with cyanotype processes. At the core of his practice is an ongoing exploration of identity, sociopolitical realities, and transformation, both personal and collective. His work often reflects the tension between tradition and modernity, local memory and global influence, questioning how people adapt, survive, and redefine themselves within contemporary society.
His practice often combines recurring characters, symbolic references, and site-specific interventions to create narratives that are both playful and critical. Moving between public space, installations, and printmaking, his work seeks to open conversations around identity, collective memory, and the contradictions of contemporary life.
His work has appeared in Cyprus and in Madrid, La Coruña, Brighton, Rome, Calabria, Puglia, Mexico City, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Palermo, San Francisco, Paris, and Amsterdam.
