€120.00

Date(s) and Time: 6 October, 13 October, 20 October, 27 October & 10 November, 18:00–21:00

Workshop Language: Greek or English depending on participants’ needs.

Detailed Description:
This 5-session workshop explores photography as a tool for narration and expression. Throughout the workshop, participants will work on a theme of their choice and develop a series of photographs, which can either become a complete body of work or serve as the starting point for a new project.

The sessions will cover basic photographic principles while placing greater emphasis on aesthetic approach, artistic intention, and the ethical use of the medium. Participants will explore how different photographic choices, such as colour or black and white, close-up or long shot, angle, framing and composition, can influence the way an image communicates.

Through examples, discussion and the facilitator’s guidance, participants will develop their ability to “see photographically” while becoming more familiar with their own equipment and artistic intentions.

Goals & Context:
The main goal of the workshop is to help participants develop a more conscious and expressive approach to photography, moving beyond technical choices and exploring how images can communicate ideas, stories and perspectives.

The main subjects that will be discussed are:
[1] Photography as a tool for narration and expression
[2] Basic photographic principles and the effective use of equipment
[3] Aesthetic choices and artistic intention
[4] The ethical use of photography
[5] Developing a photographic series
[6] Learning to “see photographically”
[7] The work of established photographers from around the world
